K-1: Music & Movement
Come experience music through movement! We will be using our bodies to experience the different elements of music, playing movement games, creating movement for music, and using movement to tell a story with music.
2-3: Rhythm Band: Come Drum with Me!
Come Drum with Me! We will be learning all about rhythm using tubano drums and other auxilliary percussion instruments, through different games, stories, and activities.
4-5: Theater Production w/ Ms. King
Love to sing, dance, and act? This is the elective where we will be combining all three! Come learn all about the musical theater experience. You will build skills as a musician, actor, and dancer.
K-1: Orffestra
The Orff-Schulwerk method combines music, movement, drama, and speech to mirror a child’s world of play. We will be using different instruments, learning songs, and playing movement games to learn about music in this class.
2-3: Chorus

K-1: Introduction to the Stage w/ Ms. King
Welcome to the stage! In this class we will learn all about what it’s like to be a performer -- and in May, we’ll be ready to perform our musical! We will be singing, dancing, and acting in this class.
2-3: Keyboarding I
Want to learn an instrument? Come learn how to play the piano! We will be using keyboards every day in the keyboard lab in Ms. Spear’s room, learning how to play the piano, read music, and work on our music theory skills.
4-5: Chorus
Come sing with your friends in chorus! We will be learning about proper vocal techniques, how to sing in a group, and how to perform onstage. At the end of the year, we will have a chorus performance.

Love classical music? Want to know more? Come on a journey with us as we learn about composers in classical music! We will be playing games, singing songs, and participating in activities that teach us all about these big names.
